Two of the most influential fiddlers of the last 25 years, fiddle titans Darol Anger and Bruce Molsky have
a combined 6 decades of reshaping the fiddle world and deep teaching experience all over the world and in their own online fiddle schools. When you combine all their skills, you get something amazing. Together, they have explored the American Roots landscape for almost two decades, sharing a creative story that’s resulted in collaborations such as the Grammy-nominated Fiddlers Four, performing internationally on each other’s concerts and recordings, and finding endless joy in playing music together.
Along with stellar Celtic fiddler Jenna Moynihan and genius-level guitar inno- vator Stash Wyslouch, they’re teaming up with the Freshgrass Institute for an inaugural week of exploration into roots fiddle and beyond. This camp will be all about combining our individual skills and styles to make music that transcends the sum of its parts. It’ll be a 4-day deep dive into instrumental skills, exploring new repertoire, improvising, arranging solo and group music, and more. This event will be the most useful for intermediate-to-advanced string players and guitarists, as we will be actively putting new ideas into practice together.
