Darol & Mike reunite in Boston, longtime hotbed of advanced string music, for a rare concert of their 45-year irrepressible Duo Magic, with a full set of collaboration with the legendary Berklee World Strings, the flagship bad-ass string orchestra of the Berklee College of Music, at the Berklee Performance Center! A happy return for Darol to where he taught as a Professor of Contemporary Strings for ten years. Featuring the equally legendary Cellist-Composer-Conductor Eugene Friesen.

Mr Sun returns to a favorite venue with a harvest of vintage Holiday Music: Ellington's Nutcracker Suite. Complant Wine proudly presents a special Holiday Concert with renowned fiddler Darol Anger and Mr Sun (Grant Gordy, guitar; Joe K Walsh, mandolin; Aidan O’Donnell, bass) performing their unique interpretation of Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker Suite. This will be the only North Bay performance and will be a benefit for the Welcome Grange #791 of Napa. Saturday December 16, 3275 Hagen Rd., Napa.
Doors open at 6:30 pm, music begins at 7:30 pm. Food and drink available for purchase. Tickets $35 Welcome Grange #791 is a 501 (c) 10 nonprofit fraternal organization.

Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite contains some of the most beloved and familiar melodies in the Western world. Mr Sun has seized upon the inspiration of Duke Ellington’s brilliant, sly, and urbane re-interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s Suite as an opportunity to salute and re-invent this wildly multi-faceted work anew through the lens of the American string band, a musical format now in a marathon upheaval of innovation and expansion.

iddle Hell will be an entirely in-person festival in November. Meet up and jam with your old friends and make new ones! Sessions will not be recorded for replays online.

SESSIONS: We'll have about 380 sessions, with 20 concerts, 35 instructor-led jams, and 325 workshops! And there will be lots of informal jam spots as always. While all acoustic instruments are welcome, the main tracks are for fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, cello, and singing, at 4 different levels. Have fun with your fellow musicians as you absorb techniques, styles, tunes, and history, from an amazing set of instructors.
